Welcome to the very first episode of Behind the Whistle, a podcast series where we’ll get to know the people that officiate the sports we all love.
They’ll tell us their stories, about how they became involved in officiating and why they continue to officiate. Hopefully by allowing them to tell their stories we’ll encourage more people to either start, or continue in their officiating career.
From those of us that have been officiating for some time, there are a large amount of positives that come out of officiating sports and hopefully this podcast series will go a long way of highlighting and showing those.
Our very first guest is former NRL Rugby League and current Rugby League Wheelchair official, Tim Robinson. I started off by asking Tim how he started in his officiating journey.
